Whole Green Lipped Mussel is shipped to our facility fresh frozen. This raw material is vacuum dried in low heat so not to denature the proteins.

After drying the Green Lipped Mussel under 10% moisture, this raw material is slowly pulverized to a customized mesh size, with the temperature not exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Green Lipped Mussel "differs from other mussel species in that it has a dark brown/green shell, a green lip around the edge of the shells and only has one abductor muscle. It is also one of the largest mussel species growing up to 240mm in length.
